Our local estate is offering very attractive deals for tenants with traditional tenancies to relinquish them. This is leading to farmers with nobody following them just stopping .
When you say "very attractive deals" does this mean cash payouts or giving the tenant the house and Steading in return for vacant possession of the land?

Not really my place to go into the details of other people's business on here.

Been told a long term tenancy worth 1k per acre by a professional.

Yep know of a couple of places that the estate have gone to a farmer with no successor and offered good deals to get out. To be fair to the respective landlords the tenants were quite open to doing a deal.
I think the estates are really scared about this right to buy legislation and want all secure tenants moved on, one way or another.

Couple more in the paper on Saturday with more queuing up after them.

Been a long time since I've seen so many roups.

Just what I thought...

Its like the late 80's / early 90's all over again... Where ye can go to a roup every weekend!! maybe even 2!!!

prob the big diff is that this time its genuine retirement sales.... as opposed to some lads having to get out...

that also back then it was countless 50/80/120 acre units......

thing thats missing now at a roup is "drink" !!! always used to be a bar at them...
