Hi JP1,
I know somebody in your neck of the woods who is after a tup. I sometimes get call from folks in the SE so that may serve well too. I will keep you posted. I will look the breeding up.

I don't know if you want to post your prefix up so people can look them up on www.signetdata.com to see the breeding

Hi jp1. I don’t know if you would know of anyone in the south east with ewes or ewe lambs roussin for sale? Thanks.

I suspect @JP1 may want to keep his best females as he is building up numbers but I wouldn't want to speak for him. There is a big gap in the SE for pedigree breeders. There are ram buyers down that area - Kent and South Coast but most will use them on mules or Romneys. There will be lots of pure females from elsewhere in the country if you are very interested. The society will also advertise crossbred females from time to time (usually Blackie or Cheviot cross) but often folks have a market for lambs as slaughter lambs so commercial folks either keep their females or kill them.

That’s ok. Yeah been interested in them for a while but never see any ewes advertised for sale? I’m happy to travel a bit to find some.

Brilliant. There will be females for sale in the South West for sure. Russell Molyneux (Okehampton) is having a flock dispersal and there are several flocks around him that have different bloodlines. If you want any specifics about who to go to, please message me. Further north of you, you have @JP1 in Suffolk but with a small flock I suspect he wants to keep his females. You then have Stephen Middleton in Lincs (non MV but Signet recorded). In the west in Herefordshire, there is Carola Girling. Those are your nearest realistically. There are larger flocks in Scotland and Wales. Best thing to do is have a look at https://www.roussinsheepsociety.org.uk/membership-information/
