Can the ordinary mortals who have paid to get in to the show walk the cattle and pig lines to talk to the exhibitors and see all of the cattle and pigs or have 'elf and safety interfered? The Three Counties was a waste of time for me, the cattle lines were off limits until gone 3pm and I don't know if they were ever open. I could not see most of the cattle or pigs.
I emailed Royal Welsh with this enquiry but have not had the courtesy of a reply so will stay this side of the bridge(s) until I know I can get value for money!

You can walk around some of them, but most of the cattle sheds were not open until after 5pm yesterday when they finished showing.

Went yesterday, don't bother with stock as we have plenty here and shown dairy stock are not suitable for our commercial grazing based system.Rest of show excellent.

Facebook seems to be awash with tickets for sale. My OH spends the winter crafting an item to exhibit at the show and over the last few years always wins the class.
This year she entered a wall hanging..Must have took her 5 months and is a work of art..embroidery . Drove over to put it in and she was asked for £26 admission..She came home..I think it odd that the craft show which is very well attended will suffer if this charge is going to be the norm.

Went up yesterday as well - only thing I'd improve is to have a motorway across mid Wales, it's an awful road, one son was sick just after Llandovery and didn't perk up until mid afternoon!
It's a great social event and it's always lovely to have a catch up with various people - sometimes I'm stopping every 10 yards for a chat. And there are new things to look at, even if they're way out of my price range.

Has OH not previously had to pay?
