RPA appeal

Is the OP drowning their sorrows in the pub or still on a bender celebrating I wonder?
Probably will not know outcome, might be 6 months going on post above your last before he gets informed.....
The whole system is not something that fits with modern values, it’s veiled in opaqueness and lacks any transparency in an effort to wear any dissenter into bored submission. Civil service culture. They rely on the passage of time so if you do succeed, the wrongful decision was made so long ago that the rhyme or reason has moved on and is largely lost or forgotten.

Well I went !, outcome is as expected !.
The panel said they don’t think it’s something they can deal with as it’s maladministration and a service issue !.

one of the panel asked if I’d had any payments to which I dropped the bombshell, that “yes” I was infact payed for 2019 bps on 30 jan 2020. Mr RPA couldn’t answer there questions on that one 🤣🤣, and couldn’t understand how that could of happened !.

and yes I was in the pub last night 👍

Which begs the question, how do you deal with maladministration and service issues?

I’ve already had a service review, had to have one of them before I could get to the appeal stage.
maladministration is a PHSO issue, but you have to go though all the stages with the RPA first. I went to the PHSO about 18 months ago but they wouldn’t touch it till I’d had an appeal, I’ll be back onto them once I’ve got the panels decision/recommendation.

Grert news.

Now just hope that in a fit of stupidity, Mr RPA man does not try and claw back the 2019 payment...

Will you get the back payments owed you? What is your next move, as I am assuming that you will keep on at them...

Later. Answered above :)

Crumbs. 5 years on.
And still not over !.
I still don’t understand how the 2015 bps handbook states to claim this woodland under bps it had to be claimed under sps in 2008, the 2008 sps handbook clearly states it’s not in anyway eligible for sps.
yes you could use it as set aside, but being a “small producer under 19.48 Ha” im exempt from having to have set aside !.

I feel your pain another false dawn. Keep fighting or move on? I’m sure you appreciate the system relies on wearing the individual down until they move on.
Just keep it all in proportion and don’t let it ruin your life. Whatever you decide.
It's a tough call, i agree...

My "problem" fades into insignificance compared to some, but the attitude that the problem is not with TPTB, and it is down to the individual to fight a large Govt organisation or quango, who will deny responsibility and lie or lose evidence, absolutley stinks.

I am afraid, I realised after 12 months and the RPA "losing" and denying having any of the evidence that they had supporting their case, and the huge expense I would need to incur to recover £7K, was not worth the effort...

They won
