We are currently looking to go onto autosteer, having purchased a used tractor that is set up for it. Can any one give a beginners guide on how to do this, or the phone number of someone who can. We have 3 blocks of land over a 12 mile radius on undulating land in south/west Yorkshire. A neighbour has told me he pays £600/year for corrections over the mobile phone network for one tractor, which seems overpriced to me. Would it be possible to collaborate with a group of local farmers and set up our own network?
I found use-snip.com whilst sniffing around the web, does anyone have any knowledge of them?

Dont need a base station on farm, give RTK farming a ring and get on a SIM card based system, works well for us on RTK.

Where you are based, call Nick Abbey Digital Agriculture. He will sort you out with perfect RTK

What does perfect mean here? Perfect performance or less than £600 a year? Probably not less than most of us private base owners "pay". I'm not saying Nick could not provide the best option for the OP, just that I cannot see all the figures and arguments he might consider essential. Actually I don't know Nick, perhaps he can offer a private base at a good price.
