Above is correct.
It's not cheap though, Trimble base will be iro £12k.

You'll need either a radio or modem in the tractor to pick up the signal.

I've done it this year with secondhand stuff, but I had to get vantage out to set it up.

Thanks for your replies, don’t think I will get a Trimble base, been looking at field bee looks interesting.

Field bee is 1600 Euros (dual frequency receiver). A bit of a DIY kit running a u-blox F9P GNSS receiver would be less than 300 €. According to the FieldBee website, their device does not send RTCM 1008 messages which Trimble receivers usually need. Neither legacy messages (1004 and 1012) not mentioned for older dual constellation rovers (GPS + Glonass). The DIY kit can do both if needed. Check with the FieldBee guys if their technical data is inaccurate.

Thanks for replying, will leave field bee for now,the DIY kit looks good,I’ll see what I can find about it.
Not very good at electronics but if it’s just connecting circuit boards and programming then I should be ok ,good with the soldering iron

You can se CenterPoint STD which means you would only need 1 un-lock and get the same accuracy as RTK through the satellite system, Give Vantage a call 01480 861824

But there is a fairly large yearly sub, which I'm guessing they are trying to avoid by going the diy rtk base route.

You have two steps, one to omnistar, then to rtk.
So best part of £3k
That’s more than I paid for my 750,I need to find a cheap diy rtk kit and have a go and see how I get on .it would be a good winter project,if I get it working then I could think about unlocking the 750

You can now get 1cm pass to pass accuracy and repeatability as good as RTK via just sat based correction ?

Not as good as rtk but £675 per year per tractor ,I work on a small family farm and can not afford that, need to find a cheaper way ,diy kit or stay with egnos
