under 1 minute on Fast, no need for expensive radio's or modems
So not quite RTK then. What’s repeatability? Not getting at you as I haven’t been in GPS for 4 years . Just keen to keep an understanding of all the terminology as I come across it in my current role for section control

Hi Robt, as far as I'm aware RTK has only been 1" accuracy via radio or modem. So Centerpoint RTX will equal this and it is repeatable year to year. Centerpoint STD requires about 5 minutes initialization from 1st key on. Fast Takes less than a minute. Give us a call in office tomorrow if I can help further 01480 861824

no, RTK is 1-2cm accuracy rather than inches! So you can use Centrepoitn to interrow cultivate each year? sorry didnt realise you work for AS |comms!. Hope its going well

Not better than RTK but very close, quite impressive. The correction signal coverage is limited but better than I thought. Wonder if it has improved recently, seems to cover most of Europe now.

The correction signal must be coming from a geostationary satellite? Visibility towards South needs to be good then like for EGNOS. Then again, rangepoint I guess survives from reasonable correction signal interruptions.

I used it on a trial last autumn.
It worked well, came back quickly after losing it under trees.
But the subs very quickly add up.

Actually one more question now that we anyway have discussed many of the Centerpoint details: does it now cover all the major satellite constellations? I assume it would do GPS/Glonass/Galileo/Beidou but did not find the info.

Hi, I run 2 case trimble systems both on rangepoint with one doing the drilling and interested in centrepoint for the drill tractor for obvious reasons. How much is centrepoint fast? For some reason I have £995 in my head and is it worth it over the std centrepoint? Thanks

Morning, We have an offer on the Fast at £675 a year, this is the same cost as standard. They both offer the same accuracy but STD needs an intermediate un-lock where as the Fast needs a High un-lock. If you want to up-grade we can include the high accuracy un-lock for 12 months @ £675 if ordered before end December. Give us a call to discuss on 01480 861824

You can't just blurt that out and not follow it through with how it works!!!!

I know someone who'd be up for a free base for sure.

Basically, I will attend to install a base station and give the landowner beneficial use of the data on my RTK network. i can help with the supply of machine control if people are only just getting into it,
