RTK Range point.

Hi all.
I'm thinking about going down the auto steer route on my Case Puma. Is RTK Range point good enough for drilling. I don't want to end up with gaps and overlaps. I can do that on my own. Thanks in advance.

Depends on your drill. On 3metre combi it is definitely good enough, on my trailed drill it takes a lot more setting up as it is 7 metres long! But definitely better than I can drive the trailed drill manually.

We are on RP RTX this year and started drilling with a 10 cm overlap on some early drilled grass , having seen the results I'm now using a 5 cm overlap and that seems to work well. RTX is certainly capeable of doing an accurate enough job

Is your drill isobus? Think isobus normally calculates all that itself.

Been on RTX Rangepoint for 2 yrs now on a NH XCN1050 screen with Easy Pilot Pro steering column motor.
Sowing with 3m power harrow/drill no problem at all. Have mine set at 2.96m and thinking of going to 2.98m.
As said doesnt like trees, so occasionally have to drive a couple of strips next shelter belts.
If you stop for an hour or overnight it might drift off line, sometimes 6 inch sometimes up to 2ft. Not a problem really, line up with your last run, reset the guidances line to where you are and off you go.
That said sometimes it doesnt drift at all, often go back next day and its spot on.
Would recommend!
