Rubber surrounds on doors and windows

Simple question, what is it best to use to get the rubber to stay on?
It looks like manufacturers add a bit of something to get them to stay put.

Something like Stixall works pretty well.

Handy for Ford cars too….they seem to be stuck on with the same glue as a postage stamp.

In my experience with the green and yellow brand, nothing is used.. New stuff goes onto clean glass without issue. Don't stretch it on the inside of a curve.
Once it's been used or past it's best, you're wasting your time. We used to flick the glass out when glass got broken. The seal never went on right a second time, and cost as much in time as new sealing strip cost.
Vapormatic and others will supply a roll of the stuff, different profiles are available..

Thanks. I think that is what I've just bought.
It seemed rubbish to start with as I couldn't get it to stay on the glass at all. But after knocking it on, it's gone on proper firm.
