Rubble crusher

Got a few ton of rubble to get rid of, thinking of hiring a rubble crusher and mincing it down (can have it minced down almost to dust/grit to put in especially poached gateways or maybe leaving it a bit larger to spread and roll over to assist drainage, anyone got any experience/pointers?

How much is a few tons ,,you need a alot to put through a big crusher ,plus you need something to fill it and clear the material away ,,if its a small heap ,say 200tn then a 20 tn 360 with a crusher bucket would be worth looking at

We had some tarmac done recently, not sure of tonnage done but about 3.5 days
Loaded with 12t 360 and kept pushing away with Manitou and moving crusher

Had a mate that wanted a bit of work with his digger so let him hire a crusher and get to work with some concrete/brick mix. Turned out a bitch of a job because the crusher wasn’t big enough really. Would have been cheaper to dig a hole and lose it then buy a few fresh loads of crushed.

Guy I know hires in an excavator bucket crusher for small amounts, he says the resulting material goes down more solid than the material he used to get out of a small engine driven crusher. Takes longer but the per day hire charge is less. Think its this model he hires:

It didn't take him long to reduce a fairly decent pile of rubble to some useful material.

I watched him use it for a while, it will manage a pretty decent chunk of rubble. Occasionally you get a football shaped bit it can't get a good bite on, but it'll chew through a kerbstone if you feed it in at the right angle. I'd never seen one before, and was impressed. He was only using it on a small digger, 3 tonne I think. You can get the same bucket for bigger machines, they'd do a fair bit per hour I reckon. You just need a single acting hammer circuit, the valve on the bucket just cycles the jaw open and closed as long as your foot is on the pedal.

Would think loading a crusher would give more output than the bucket version
