I'm looking for a tablet or a tablet with a case that can stand up to living by the crush for weighing etc. All it needs to run is a management app and have bluetooth. But it mostly needs to be able to deal with being dropped in the sh!t from time to time

There are rugged tablets I'm sure but they are probably very expensive. As long as you don't actually submerge the tablet, I find the Amazon Fire tablet with the children's rugged rubber case, officially called 'kids proof', to be exremely rugged. It will probably need jailbreaking for you to access the Android Play Store to download and use the full Android experience and your specialist app. This is very easy to do by following instructions easily found on the net.

Cheapest tablet that will do the job. Then put it in an Otterbox. I have an iPad in one couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped it and it’s still like new inside

Buy the tablet you want and then buy an Otterbox for it.
Using an iPad in an Otterbox in tractor and around cattle crush. Works a treat, concrete hasn’t beaten it yet
