Clearly they weren't dry enough, use them for beddingCan any one help.
I have dozens and dozens of ruined hay bales they smell bad/fousty and some have mould on them which is strange as they were dry when baled.
Can anyone suggest how to dispose of these.????
cut the string and dump them on the dung heap .turn them a few times over the winter
or burn them @Thick Farmer
Still p!ssed?you cant put dung on dung you just get more dung
bedding!! . if it's to wet no point???????
???????
If it's just the top bales leave them be for now, the bales underneath should be ok.
I think he means that fusty hay is as good as dung already, you'll not get any value out of it for bedding.........
if it's dry then bedding yes .I was thinking they still out . or gardeners will take them for raised vegetable bedsBut it was dry when it was baled
exactlyAnd then buy straw in for bedding !!
