Got a hefty shock today when pricing Rumevite today compared to last year!! Normally go for sheep super for a batch pre tupping, anyone else faced with the same? Any own label alternatives better on price?

Cereals are up £50/t and more, compared with a year ago. It stands to reason that any cereal based blocks (or concentrates) will be up a good chunk too.
I had some Downland Optilix a month ago, ready for tupping, and that was up about £50/t iirc.

My downland rep was saying the same, up £50 a ton. I thought it might have been more , so happy enough with that , all things considered!
Bought a couple of big tubs of Chrystalyxx Blue tubs today. £76 which was up 4 quid over last year, so not as bad as I had thought would be the case...

Made my own, check youtube/google for urea molasses mineral blocks.
Bought 2000L of 35% protein molasses to mix up into block/lick buckets. Came down to about 1/3 -1/2 the price of rumevite depending on what you add (sal, minerals etc) to your block.
I use it as a supplement on particularly poor grazing to help rumen function.

How is that working out for you Boso?
Works just fine. You can add mineral (mix or loose) as well to make your own mineral protein lick. Have had zero fatality when using them so far.
Only downside has been that when buying the molasses, the minimum order was 2000L, which at the current intake will last me 2021-2023
