Try to resist it and erase it from your mind, or it will draw you in and you'll end up in the holistic grazing thread as a fully fledged hippy.I totally “get this” imo hes correct . It’s very interesting.
The sand will polish the boards beautifully if nothing else !Alan. Cheer up, buy a Ford TW 20, 5 furrow plough, and crack on.....
Yep seen this before, fascinating stuff, yet all so obvious really.I totally “get this” imo hes correct . It’s very interesting.
We all make mistakes at least he’s recognised he was wrong .He was an advocate of shooting elephants 40,000 before he realised he'd got it wrong.
Quite a big mistake though. We all make mistakes at least he’s recognised he was wrong .
He said he will have to live with that deeply regretted that I would say.He was an advocate of shooting elephants 40,000 before he realised he'd got it wrong.
Watch you don’t choke on your halo eh .Quite a big mistake though.
he may just have identified the wrong species for depopulation...He was an advocate of shooting elephants 40,000 before he realised he'd got it wrong.

40,000 big mistakes.Quite a big mistake though.
I am sure listening to him in 1969 you'd have found him just as plausible as listening to him today.Watch you don’t choke on your halo eh .
Im not into shooting things apart from I’d enjoy shooting tossers but it’s banned , so probably not .I am sure listening to him in 1969 you'd have found him just as plausible.
I suspect you may be right, but he's made good observations and his experience is of value. You could say that he learnt the hard way. I personally won't be signing up for life coaching or whatever it is that is being sold, (no offence intended to anybody there, just my opinion) Just take the message that by using nothing but careful management of livestock you can repair and improve damaged soils. As far as that message goes I'm in agreement with Savory 100%.I am sure listening to him in 1969 you'd have found him just as plausible as listening to him today.
I agree, often reformed poachers make the best gamekeepers.I suspect you may be right, but he's made good observations and his experience is of value. You could say that he learnt the hard way. My point about him is that these theories are constantly evolving I'm sure he believed in his theories about elephants in 1969 in just the same way he believes in cattle and holistic grazing today only time will prove him right or wrong.I suspect you may be right, but he's made good observations and his experience is of value. At 85 he ain’t got much left, I’d say the soil improvement is already proven no denying that . Weather or not it affects the weather ….. open verdict on that bit but from a farming perspective anything that improves the soil is good ! Very good especially if it makes you money on way not costs .My point about him is that these theories are constantly evolving I'm sure he believed in his theories about elephants in 1969 in just the same way he believes in cattle and holistic grazing today only time will prove him right or wrong.
