it is the germans who are delaying the pipeline and the uk will likely be hardest hit.

I know its the Germans delaying their approval, but if it turns cold soon and they have to get theres through the current ones and Ukraine to show support for Ukraine they might regret pulling the approvals b@llocks and the reduced capacity just as much.

It was explained very simply on Radio4 this morning. Russia has got good at creating mini crisis at the door of Europe with the aim of Europe asking for help so it can extract favours.

Putin and Co are very good a Geopolitics. Europe should never have relied on Russia for gas. A lot of people will have to go cold to stand up to Putin. He’s holding a very strong hand.

articles in the Telegraph at how Russia engages in multiple "attacks" at once, called Hybrid conflict

Putin is ready to gamble on war with the West

The Russian president will do everything in his power to seek revenge for Russia’s humiliation

and how German reliance on the Nord Stream gas pipeline is the result of a number of years of German politicians abdicating responsibility and also acquiescing to the German public relying on feelings (Nuclear is bad, therefore anything other than Nuclear must be good) without thinking about what the consequences are. Sort of reminds me of what is happening in the UK, with TB, eating meat and rewilding!!!

Nord Stream dilemma is the result of a disastrous German mistake

German energy policy provides a salutary reminder of what happens when zealotry trumps pragmatism

Got to laugh at people who called merkel a wonder leader etc etc, well she sold out the Grrman people to stay in power by selling them out to the green party, she doesnt look so clever now, I cant believe anyone could be so stupid as to put Putin in such a position where he can hold Europe to Ransom
