Russian/ukraine war predictions

The effect of sanctions on the Russian economy will mean they won’t be able to finance the military as GDP plummets and reserves held in foreign banks are frozen. A guerrilla war fought by Ukrainians against a conscript army of occupation where the soldiers will be expected to kill or subjugate people who look and speak like their own families will be a further problem for the generals. Taken together with the body bags and wounded coming back to Russia the general population will twig what is going on. Putin has badly misjudged the situation and consequences and will not survive if he persists and the rest of the world cut all economic ties with Russia provided Ukraine continues to capture or kill Russian soldiers which they unfortunately must do in order to survive as a nation.
It is the Russian military who hold the key to this one way or the other. It will not end in a draw.

Sadly Putin has nothing to lose by carrying on now whatever the cost, any sign of retreat & he's done for, think he may think twice before doing it again provided the West grow a pair.

A big problem is looming. Ukraine does a deal which one way or another it will have to.
Russia then controls it with its own puppet government.
Do we then deal with Ukraine?
Massive dilemma. We could end up having to hit Ukraine with sanctions.
Very sad situation looming.

Ukraine has long past that stage. They will not become Belarus.

Eight days in, and it’s been a long eight days just on the outside looking in,never mind living in it, but not long regarding the sanctions bitting yet, you wonder how long Ukraine can hold out to make these sanctions have meaningful effect, I got the impression from kinnock (shadow defense)( he’s a fairly impressive fella), a lot of what Boris said he would do hasn’t happened yet

Been Following a couple of folk on Twitter. Kyiv Independent being one and this lady...@strategywoman She's made it out of Kyiv now.

Reports of Russians jabbing their own Fuel Tanks so they can't progress.

Reports of Russians turning their tanks around and preparing to fire on their own borders... False Flag for worse to come?

Ukrainian medics looking after injured Russian soldiers captured/surrendered.

Very expensive, immeasurably so. The cost is spilled blood and lives, weighed in the balances against their freedom, tempered by their resolve.

Ironic you talking about the West having the balls to do something about it when you would roll over and have your belly tickled..
Can't beat a bit of belly tickling, sounds as if the cost might be a bit on the dear side, I wonder if there are or were any other options.
