I don't know how old you are but i can remember empty cleared areas in Exeter where houses and shops were raised to the ground ,(like near in the Guildhall area before the shopping centre was built a huge empty area ,an impromptu primitive car park , surrounded by St Pancras Church the only build around just surviving ) by the Luftwaffe .
Plymouth ditto ,its never been the same since.

Watched a pice about a captured russian was desperate for food and a drink a nice Ukrainian lady was feeding him he looked very appreciated for the food and drink .Just makes you wonder if when some of Russians get back home that have been captured and or deserted will they be sent to siberia or worse .

If your a Russian and end up captured you are going to be scared for your life and will be under severe duress and thus say anything your captors want you to say to the camera!
