Yep, we had one of them. Naive land owner hired out a field for a Christian outreach event, the first thing the village knew was when all the caravans turned up, and caused mass panic in the village, which was unfortunately confirmed by anti social behaviour in peoples gardens, and on foot paths. There were not enough loo's and no water for the amount of caravans, and I think the landowner ended up paying for the council clear up.
I think they must be very good at selling the event over the phone. The village had a meeting where the organisers attended, I went as an interested neighbour, and their attitude wasn't very Christian when challenged, they were 'saving' people, so the locals had to put up with it.
They must have offered some money to get the show ground, I hope its enough to cover their extra costs.

Looks like they were only expecting 30 people, so it’s likely to be a very expensive lesson for the Ag Society 🙁
