Saber heat detection/sort gate

Anybody got one these or looked into it?

It works on using kamar type patches that when a cow walks under the camera booth, it drafts them out if they’ve gone red or the patch is missing. The sort gate can also draft cows out that are pre set on the phone app.

Spoken to many people who’ve got the gates and a few who have fitted them aswell here and in NZ

The drafting gate which is based on the protrack one is one of the best and most reliable gates on the market.

The other technology such as the heat detection and mastitis detection on the other hand is a bit hit and miss, those who have committed to it and really put the time in and worked through the issues have got on okay, others have used it for a few weeks and then ripped it out.

Personally I’d go for the gate itself and one of the well tested and tried collar setups for heat detection with the benefit of health monitoring too

I have the cell count machines from them in the parlour, all we need to do is look at the flashing colour and that’s it we know the cell count for the cow great machines. Wouldn’t mind a drafting gate maybe later in year!
