Questions for Weaving Sabre Tine users;

How do you handle the drill in soft & delicate conditions? Do you carry the weight partly on the 3 point linkage?
Are the headlands compacted from turning with such a heavy mounted drill? How do you mange this? Drill first or last?

Smallest tractor possible on some terra tyres and when you get to a wet hole carry the drill through it. If the whole field is wet you shouldnt be there. Its not a tool that will allow you to drill 12 months of the year. Also we only out 500kg in at a time.
I drill the headlands last but I know a chap who does them first. Personally I think our headland looks more uniform than his but he doesnt run terra’s. He’s only on 710’s on a heavier tractor. Basically be as light as possible with the biggest tyre print as possible.
