Safe to Graze?

Got 6ha of PP grassland that was limed a few weeks ago. Crap crop of grass and going over rapidly in the drought conditions we have had... Barely 10mm in 7-8 weeks

The lime has not washed in and is sitting on the ground. I can't find much on the grass itself, as it looks as if the dews have moved it down the stem slowly-slowly.

I doubt I can mow it with the PZ drum as there is so little grass, also don't really want to be cutting and then raking-in across a big distance to get a swathe that could be baled and kicking up the ground lime...

So, safe to graze by some Sucklers? Chalk grassland will be the same surely?

well, I have grazed ground that had lime applied

Limestone flour is commonly added to ruminant rations as an acidity buffer, so crack on.

Looks as if I'll be needing an electric fence stringing out, and allow the Girls in tomorrow, as the grass has about gone and they are munching bales of silage like sweeties!

Will be monitoring the rear end outputs...
