Silage analysis is how we measure the success. Last year the silage was very acidic and bad for taking heat. Thought it may be time for a change but safesil is about double the price so hope to here if folk think its worth it or not.

We have used safesil pro(3l per tonne) and challeng (2 l per tonne)quite a few times through a forage wagon. Is expensive, very good on the right dry matter. Recently used to finish clamps off on top of ecosyl. Application rate needs to be accurate we found especially in dryer silage

Do you think it does a better job than ecosyl I did wonder if it would be worth trying the ecosyl at a higher rate than the 1 litre a ton

We use ecosyl at 2l a tonne, nice silage. Found the convenience of safesil ( ready to use IBC) good for small bits if need less than 50tonne to finish clamps.

That's just the rate we have always been told to use and never actually questioned it.
I've only ever applied it at 2l
