Just on the point of ordering the kit to build an AgOpen setup and they throw this one back into the mix!

Do you think a 4880 Euro kit (VAT 0%?) is comparable with AOG?

Of course it is difficult to compare AOG with commercial products as AOG asks at least some do-it-yourself work, even if one would order a pre-built cirbuit board and box. Cost difference is still huge.

I do understand that a commercial kit at this price range attracts some farmers (AOG others).

Yes I agree, no real comparison.

My thoughts are; AOG software has the potential to be more accurate and capable? Would probably build a set up accurate enough for drilling on a budget of £2k. Bit more work involved to fabricate a steering motor + bracket, no problem with that. My main reservation is around setting up and tuning.

Benefits of FieldBee are an off the shelf steering motor and telephone support, for an extra £2.5k. Still tied in to annual subscription (all be it small) to use and keep data on the app.
