This is the issue with showers and jetters, the more they are used the more likelihood of possible resistance build up!.

Op dips are only licensed for plunge dippers!, there isn't any resistance atm and hopefully there won't be or the sheep industry is screwed.
How long after op dipping before you can send to slaughter??

If moredun are to believed, a vaccine for scab is in the pipeline.

Of course, the amount of flocks needing treatment could be seriously reduced if the industry gave a crap about biosecurity.
Yes there is a vaccine being worked on but a meeting with to them a couple of weeks ago it wont be on the market fir a while yet it is just in the early stages of development.

I do agree aboit your comment on bio security as this is one of the big ways that scab is spread. As a sheep farmer myself and a dipper this has to be top of my agenda when returning my and working with my own stock

Scan mite resistance to injectables is already well documented.

Dip is not licenced for use through anything other than a dip. SCOPS, AMTRA and VMD have all warned that using dip in an "off label" way like this may lead to scan mites becoming resistant to dip. https://www.fwi.co.uk/livestock/farmers-warned-not-to-use-jetters-or-showers-to-treat-scab

You're actions are irresponsible and damaging to the future sustainability of the industry. Not to mention the risks to your own health.
