Need to replace boards around some veg. plots, have used tanalised gravel boards in the past which only lasted a few years. Scaffold boards are the same price, should they last longer ?

That's one option, ones I have seen were about £18 for a 3m length, is that a typical price ?Scaffold planks treared or not will be gone in less than2 years.we now buy plastic planks
We use fully creosoted fence posts but OH not too happy about kneeling next to creosoted boards in warm weather when they are sweating.Buy a tub of proper creosote and liberally soak the boards with it every year or two and they will last forever...
I have some older scaffold planks that I used to make some raised troughs about 4/5 years ago and they aren't showing any signs of rot yet - probably due for a soaking though.Scaffold planks treared or not will be gone in less than2 years.we now buy plastic planks
