Received this text today. Looks very realistic but it's a scam. Be aware people

I had one of those ages ago - clicked on the link and filled in the form.
Told them my name was Jesus Christ from Bethlehem and pressed 'send'
The screen gave the 'waiting' spinning circle for a few seconds, then came back with the message "congratulations Jesus Christ, you are entitled to £850 refund"
I just filled in all the details with further 'interesting' information ... :ROFLMAO:

Sad, me, nah!!!

I had a glossy letter today telling me it was my last reminder before court action for renewing my US FDA registration, and to pay $495.00 immediately. I am going to risk not sending anything....;)

Fraudulent HMRC emails or text messages

Email
  • If you've had an HMRC email or text message you suspect isn't genuine report it here
    [email protected]
If HMRC needs to contact you about anything confidential they’ll reply by phone or post.

HMRC never send notifications of a tax rebate or ask you to disclose personal or payment information by email or text message.

No farmer will ever fall for that because they never pay TAX because they are all skint and make no profit
:D:D

But RWG Contracts is not a farmer but a very wealthy shed builder and was probably worried that his accountant had got it wrong again:whistle:

It is always worth using Google (or similar) to check for information if you think the email is suspicious - much better to be safe than sorry.

Soap on a rope might be a good idea then - even if you are female

Why? Women get "in the shite" too sometimes :D
Ahem :stop::stop::stop::stop:, the only females allowed into the Shite Club are cleaners, nursing staff, bar staff and erm, shall we say 'entertainers'. If 'Old Boar' believes she has something :sneaky: to offer then she should fill in an application form and await a response from the committee. If they decide she has something of benifit they may make an offer of employment. Be aware that the interview process is deliberately 'hard' :woot:and she may have to demonstrate her skills to a number of members before commencing employment :p

But, sadly, especially with NatWest and Paypal, I get this ....
