Do you find them accurate? Who do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Edit- or do you go by raddle colour?

Use raddle colour to for each week. We use Bob Toefield from Buckingham, he is very accurate.

Just scanned inlaws 168 ewes 237% and no empties I've a bit to live up to in 10 days time when I do my 400.

No l don't flush, tend to try and keep ewes in good condition at that time

Taking the trips to market would be the most effective way.

Any trips that give me any bother will be getting ear marked.Only so many spare lambs the wife can handle

Yowes = 227%
Gimmers and Hoggs = 178%

Total = 194%

Pleased with this, but maybe too many 3s amongst the yowes.

Hi. I think mine are scanned at 114%. Can't be precise as that is my own calculation - I forgot to ask scanning man to write a separate figure for the Hoggs.

Great result don't know why people question big scanning percentages. Ewes only rearing 1 lamb will never pay. All about managing multiple bearing ewes in run up to lambing. And if you loose a few lambs it not end of world as plenty spares to twin ewes up with.
