Know for a fact that at least 1 artic a week of cattle leaves Co. Durham to go to Scotland and be sold as Scottish Beef
Possibly, but not QMS assured . Scotch beef is pgi, I have posted before on this, born raised and killed in Scotland on QMS assured premises. Someone is buying cheaper beef.

Hope you don`t all think that Scottish abattoirs are above bending the rules

Not “bending the rules”, but breaking the law, if it is as you claim. So put up and report to the relevant authorities, if you have evidence, or else shut up and stop spreading spurious rumours. I know not which is the case, but if you’re not condemning a crime, you’re condoning it - and that makes you as bad as them.

Wow, this is nail biting stuff! Big bag of popcorn and 2 brews went down while reading it. But in my mind there is only one question,

What the hell is a Brock spud?

i have no idea which ones are breaking the rules, but I know one of the managers at said farm which rears lots of cattle and that is what he tells me goes on.
Not saying Scottish abattoirs are any worse than English ones
Just know they arn`t all whiter than white, north or south of the border

The term ''Scotch beef'' actually belongs to Smithfield, and QMS are either in breach of copyright or guilty of intellectual theft.

It was used to describe beef carcases from Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire which took so long to reach the London market that it was so well matured that it tasted far better than shorter-travelled carcases.
