I am in my final year at university and researching 'The attitudes and awareness of farmers with regards to future support funding on Scottish beef farms'.

I started to fill it in, but as soon as you wanted my land areas in Hectares and by Region, I stopped.

If you'd asked ''how many acres of arable, young grass, older permanent pasture, rough grazing, hill grazing'' I would have made a sensible estimate without having to look up my SFP claims' file.

By not appreciating that most farmers work and think in acres, and have a healthy disrespect for all forms of authority, you have lost a big proportion of potential responders. And those who bother to respond maybe don't represent the majority of farmers.
