Costing too much for no benefit. It is all British beef after all. We as a farming industry should not be fighting one another, all resourses should be put to one good.
Are we fighting one another? I know plenty of non farming consumers that DO put a value on Scottish produce. Scotch meat is not British in the respect that it has to have been in Scotland it's whole life making it entirely Scottish. I have not articulated that very well, sorry. It's a bit like Whisky, it can be made the world over, but Scotch Whisky has the premium the world over.

Could be wrong but I thought pig was nearly all marketed as british.

Our local Tesco, Morrisons etc, label Scottish on pork.

Nobody is fighting one another , throughout time Scottish beef has been marketed as such , just like Welsh lamb has for example.

Of course we should market it as Scotch.
