Gven the ethics of at least one of the above that could mean nothng more sgnificant than it was born reared and processed north of Watford

We all talk about needing better marketing for our produce, yet some seem hell bent on removing the unique selling point that we have. We have PGI status for a reason. I have friends in Canada and USA, they rave about Scottish produce far more than their domestic. We should be trying to push forward where ever we can and gain as much elite status as possible. Big up the grass fed beef in the wilds of Scotland etc. Look at Scottish line caught Salmon, Stornoway Blackpudding etc

I may be completely wrong but I think [seem to remember] its an EU thing
English is not seen as a regional PGI like Scottish beef or welsh lamb
we could use the southwest PGI if we met the criteria

may change after Brexit
Incidentally the AHBD export chap at a meeting we went to said that the French really envy our red tractor they have nothing like it apparently, it would seem that RT works better over there than it does here
