i have a nice 3 bedroom (2 double, 1 single) house coming up for rent near Jedburgh due to parents retiring off farm.
Large conservatory, double glazing, Biomass Boiler (possible free heat?) the house was gutted approx 7 years ago.
5 miles from Jedburgh. Dolphinston farm. TD8 6RL
The farm carries 1600 breeding ewes and 100 cows, currently in an Organic system.
I'm not 100% sure what I'm after, but it would be nice to have someone who is akin to living on a livestock farm. Sheep shearing, fencing, lambing and calving, silage making etc. An extra pair of hands or watchful eye.
Everyone is looking for that elusive 'good man' , I think I'm after someone part time, who will fit in and be part of the community, the house would suit a married couple with children, or a semi retired couple, probably not a single person
Just putting a few feelers out., if nothing comes of it we may look at self catering accommodation.
As a side note we live in quite good hunting country, good(ish) schools, rugby club and horsey community. I've two young children, a large garden and a wife who works part time and would love some help sometimes!
