Scottish Independence

Out of the Scottish residents what way will you vote?

So, why does Mr Salmond appear to be known as Fat Eck?

As a Welshman who has an interest in the result whichever way it goes, as it will change the relationship between London and the devolved Administrations, and as a Nationalist a Supporter of Scottish Independence, I would suggest that those who have no argument they can advance, are reduced to insults.

London has long been the best place for investing in commercial property, particularly since the financial crisis hit the UK and sent valuations in regional areas of the UK tumbling. However, as the economy continues to recover, and more and more businesses countrywide seek new places to operate, certain places are now doing far better than they have been in recent times. One such area is Scotland, where it has been reported that the number of property transactions taking place in the commercial sector nearly doubled in 2013.
According to findings published by Cushman & Wakefield, the number of property deals taking place in the country swelled substantially as the economy saw rapid recovery throughout the second half of the year in particular. It means the volume of transactions was at its highest since peak conditions were prevalent in Scotland throughout 2007. Not only did this mean that Scotland's commercial property market was getting back to health, however. It was also accelerating at a pace that outdid the majority of the UK - London aside.
Throughout 2013, commercial property deals in Scotland amounted to GBP 2.07 billion in value. This was a full 81 per cent higher than a year earlier when total value sat at GBP 1.15 billion, and only beaten by the GBP 3.3 billion recorded in 2007, with manufacturing, services and construction all picking up in terms of commercial business through 2013. David Davidson, managing director of Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland, said: "This has been one of the busiest starts we have ever had to a new calendar year and leads us to a very positive outlook for 2014.The Scottish Independence Referendum appears to be having no material impact on the Scottish investment market.

"Whilst some investors may be trying to reduce their holdings in Scotland, there are far more players who are prepared to bid at closing dates to secure high quality assets which have not been available elsewhere in the UK outside London," he added. His argument about the lack of impact the potential 'yes' vote in the referendum is having is hard to disagree with as well, especially with transactions in Scotland 21 per cent higher than the UK average for regional areas throughout 2013.

Or it's maybe that speculators are merely going with the most likely outcome of a NO vote, but taking advantage from the jitters of a strong YES campaign.

Cameron and co, are either as thick as sh!t, or very clever.

Given that Cameron has declared he will do everything to keep the United Kingdom (England and the Subject Nations.) as one entity, then I suspect the Tories as "thick as sh!t".

They spend their time attacking the performance of the Devolved Administrations in various fields, to distract attention from their own inadequacies.

What they don't appear to realise having a superiority complex "the English know best", is that they are driving more and more to favour independence. Long may it continue.

Crimea, is rather awkward for the EU and the USA, and are spouting the line that the referendum was against International Law, as it suits them.

To admit that various regions have the right to break away, would open the floodgates to the break up of many EU States and very possibly the USA.

Come back in 10 years, and tell me if I am wrong.

I just wish the tories were a bit more right wing than they are.

There is a lot of rubbish posted on this forum but I cant seem to get anybody to talk about getting livestock across any possible future boundaries. What would happen?

They say that half your troubles never happen.
There is no point worrying about something that may or may not happen.
If it does happen, then it depends whether Scotland is part of the EU or not.

Your guess is as good as mine.

What about the Royal Family? I've alwas been lead to belive the current Royals were Scottish royals that took on England and Wales as well? Does that mean the Royals will be Scottish Royals and England and Wales will just be like the rest in the Commonwealth?

Actually,it's high time Maori king Tuheitia Paki got a shot at being king of everybody in the Commonwealth. He'd be the first King of England of the Paki house.I wonder how UKIPers would take to him? Prime Minister Farage might get on very well with him, actually.

35 pages totaly unrelated to farming that should be consigned to off topic or maybe more appropriately the waste bin along with hopefully the final devolution such that England flag of the cross of Saint George being cheaper to make. And free up some housing as the welsh and Scots MP's go back to their countries and use the salubrious parliamentary facilities they have built.
Meanwhile her Majesty can be assured that the Irish can get on their own with Ireland run by a dithering fool and a terrorist.

Meanwhile I shall continue to refine my tender to build the iron curtain like fence for Scotland and wales. Think it might be a winner as the barbed wire comes from the English midlands.

I think you should be tendering for an iron curtain a little closer to your current home the way it's going you may well need it.:(

A complete overhaul on the union, British,Scottish politics and EU membership, is very relative to farming I would say.

Is there any truth in the story that the iron curtain finally disintegrated because it needed replacing in Hungary and that Austria would not pay their share in keeping it stockproof?
I'm sure we all have our own stories about neighbours failing to agree on the costs of boundary fences.
