Scottish Vet Student Dairy Placement!

Hi,

I’m looking for a 1 or 2 weeks placement at a dairy farm as part of my uni placements at the end of March. Ideally around the Glasgow or Edinburgh area as that’s where I’m from! Go to uni in England so struggling to find a placement as most on the database are down south. I don’t have any cow experience but more than willing to learn and get stuck in! I’m also looking for pigs and poultry, and equally would take any other placements as I have 12 weeks to fill up. If anyone knows of anywhere that takes students reply here or send me a message! thought I’d add here, if anyone has anything available further away and provides accommodation or has anything in different dates, I’m super flexible and have pretty much the whole summer. Would also be happy to do less/more than 2 weeks as I have minimal farm experience and a lot to learn!

May be worth speaking to your nearest farm vet. They will know who takes students. Clyde would do a lot of the dairy work around there but there are several others South of Glasgow.
