Scottish water

My current contract with Business Stream a subsidiary of Scottish Water has just come to the end and I was thinking about using a different supplier. Has anyone got any experience with using different companies, there is a list on Scotlandontap.gov.uk

I rang up SSWB for a quote yesterday, they said they will email me back. I will wait to see what I think.

I am surprised no one has added that they have swapped supplier in Scotland.

Been with Castle Water for a couple of years under the NFUS affinity scheme. No problems, though there hasn't really been an issue to test them yet. They are cheaper than Business Stream. I did have a cold call from another supplier who were very pushy on the phone but when it came to it their rate was more than I am currently paying. Also had an approach from someone offering a big bribe to switch back to Business Stream but told them to keep it as it would take a massive inducement to persuade me to ever have anything to do with Scottish Water again. I don't know how I qualify for this much attention as I am a very low user really.

Recently had a water meter fitted to one of our properties (holiday house). Couldnt get away from Business stream quick enough- they are hopeless and expensive. Moved to Clear Business, ok so far but its early days. Seem better to deal with.
