Spoilt for choice for buyers willing to pay 140-160 a ton of mixed scrap up in Cumbria
Plus the flatbed tranny van brigade are doing the rounds again, so must be lifting in value.

Some guy on facebook was asking for someone to collect a ton or so of farm scrap, a few I don't know commented offering to collect, but Roly at Appleby was offering 145 delivered to his yard yesterday.
A bloke from the north east said he'd collect it for 160.

Time I was having a clear out I think.

Strong money that, I should be on land work really but sod it, I'll have another week and get cleared up. If I sort 500 quids worth a day out, I can't earn that on the land and it might be free tip next time I wanna clear up

Dropped a tenner this morning. £110. Everything I had including a whole binder went as shearing, I wouldn't bother with a skip, load it in a trailer so it's as big a lumps as possible, oxygen isn't cheap, I've just made my final cut, 10 bottles this year so far, couldn't do that for a living, my poor tin tack stooping to cut all day.

Had a visit from the transit tipper boys today. Only 2 in the cab...times must be hard.
New gate works a treat. They had to come to the house, instead of driving round the yard.:smug:
Yeah, I know, window wants cleaning. It's on the ' to do ' list.
