scrap value of old bulk tank?

I have an old bulk tank in the corner of a redundant old dairy, its about 800 to 1000 litre capacity. I thought I had seen ads in the guardian for people wanting them for export but must've been my imagination! Anyone know rough price???not plumbed in but not leaking

we got about £500 for scrapping it, they took it so maybe could have got more

It's worth putting on eBay. They are popular with micro brewers. I have a compost tea brewer made out of one.

Guy I know put his on a trailer and used it as a water bowser.

Was fine until the pikeys nicked it from the field.

Sold one of our old bulk tank to a honey farm to keep the honey in. Also know of a local farmer who salts his pig in an old milk tank!!!!!

Are you thinking of using one for mixing urea, the paddle would be useful and they have a good sized outlet if you had a vacuum pump to draw the mix out.

ps The owner of the above company is a very, very good salesman.

I was told they're worth a quid a gallon. But was also told to strip them down as much as possible to maximise the value!!

i put my old 1800 litre ice bank on ebay a few years back and got £850 for it ,guy who bought it said he was going to make bio diesel in it
