Screw type bead breaker

I have one of these cheapo sparex Chinese jobbies

Is it ok to use an impact wrench on it or will it break it ?

Main top nut appears to be attached to the long internal thread by means of a roll pin only. Maybe a torque limiting device ?

We have had one years now it's been on the impactor a few times and been ok but it's not the strongest thing and has had a lot of weld repairs.last time I over did it on the impactor I snapped the clamp jaw in half so that's welded up with a bit extra bracing

There's a grub screw running in a slot to keep the jaw straight. If you go too far with the impact it will bugger up the screw and slot. Hand ratchet or air one is less likely to damage it.
