So what's everyone's guesses as to yield? Hopefully baling tomorrow, Fusion bales.

Cut 16 acre Sunday that I’ve been waiting to get at for the last few weeks . Weather didn’t go as forecast & had to bale wet - 191 bales . Been a great grass growing year , more silage than ever

3 to the acre? Looks dry stuff for the time of year.

And the results are in, a grand total of 41 bales or 2.5bales per acre so I'm sorry but you'll have to share your prize.

I'm quite pleased with how it's cropped considering the drought and not having any muck or fert since before 1st cut. And considering the rain we had last week it's amazing how dry it was.

This was 2nd cut yesterday. It was previously cut on 27th June. It has been a long and stressful wait and while I'm feeling cock-a-hoop at going from only having 40% of my winter requirement last week to looking like I should have 120% next week, those still struggling are in my thoughts.

looks good quality considering it’s been 3 months between cuts

I went Exeterwards during the week, and the air was scented by cut grass every inch of the way.
Some cuts looked normal sort of bulk, but one or two - superficially, from snatched views through gates when driving - looked slightly less than my most recent mow of the lawn. A crop, though.

Views south and east from atop a high building in the city centre showed ground still on the dry side, but much chirpier than the brown scorching I was looking at in August.

It's looks very good going in the clamp.
I just kept it lightly grazed until some rain at the end of July and then got some fertiliser on. When the time for that was up the weather had broke and last week it looked like it was going flat in the high wind and heavy rain.
Huge relief to get it in!
