Second hand forklift

Would like to replace the yard forklift. The Bonser we have had for the last 35 years has served us well but struggling to get parts now. What make would you recommend please? Something like a Hyster 2.5? The Bonser is diesel but could be gas?

Dont get gas unless you actually have too for buildings, gas is always a pain in the arse especially in colder damp weather and age does them no favours at all.

Diesel is far better or electric even!

I have a daewoo 2.5 ton diesel truck for the yard. Bought second hand has around 8k hours on it. Used every other day perhaps. Seems a nice built machine. Came from LBG machinery in Suffolk nice enough place to deal with I’ve found.

I've an electric Hyundai, 2.5 tonner on pneumatic tyres.

Suprised how good it is in the straw barn, clay floor or on hard core.

Lots of silly cut outs though, seat, hand brake or too heavy feet.

I've an old bonser and I've managed to source David brown bits ok so far

I have a Linde. It might be a bet fancy for your job but it’s a real gem to drive - very precise.

They were in 96/98/00 (can’t remember exactly)when a copy of the caterpillar lift truck built in Korea under licence not sure on the later ones

LH lever:
Forward - mast tilt forward
Back - mast tilt backward
Left - forks down
Right - forks up

RH lever:
Left - sideshift left
Right - sideshift right

I have driven forklifts a fair bit and found the only people who prefer toyota are the ones who haven't tried a Linde in anger.

Will sort a price out, need to check with supplier my discount set up on that line cause at the minute they do seem a tad expensive.

probably better off taking engine to some one that does engines everyday IMO, but assuming i could identify the parts then i could supply them if you wanted to do it yourself.
