Morning, going to splash out on a trailed straw blower, will have to be second hand due to budget! Teagle looks the most popular due to amount of them about will probably be a 8100 any faults with this model? Mchale is raved about on here but thin on the ground second hand! Cheers guys

I looked around for a second hand one for a long time but realised I would soon have to spend money on them to bring up to scratch.
I appreciate your comment about budget but look seriously at buying new .
I bought a new McHale and don't regret it one bit .
A decent second hand McHale was not too far away from a new one on price .

First out the workshop is this supertino/king bedders. For my money the rolls Royce of straw blowers in terms of build quality. The amount of metal in these puts the British brands to shame.

Buy a Kuhn .The shear bolt would go far too often on our Teagle. The problem is the shredder & blower set off together whereas the Kuhn a belt is hydraulically tightened to engage the shredder. Also broke in two just behind the linkage, hope thats helpful

Unless you no the previous owner well and how they treat kit I wouldn't touch a second hand one, 99% are only sold because they are shagged.

What's the max chucking distance on one of these?
Is it possible to self-load a 120*90 square bale by reversing up to it with the tailgate down?

We found Teagle to be very soft changed it at 3 years old as was done. Bought a brick belair and 11 years later it’s still going a treat and on original blades. It puts out roughly 2500 hestons a year. You’d pick one up second hand for handy money if not in hurry
