Looking to change our 06 Isuzu truck. Still goes like a dream but want to up grade. How are the newer ones going. Be looking at 10 plates plus really and has to be a 3 litre. Also what she a Toyota invincible like. Are they the dogs dangling. Do they have a leaver for the hi low. I don't really like the buttons on the Isuzu to change ranges . It's very slow. All advice please

I got a hilux invincible 200.i like it and have ran hilux since 1980 so may be biased.current one about to start its 8th year and had a new battery last year and a fuel filter fitting due to faulty sensor.get 28/32 including lots of towing mini diggers.they have levers for hi lo aswell.cab getting a bit dated but still the truck others are judged against.ill buy another when this one gets replaced.

Had a new dmax in September and just done 10k miles. Really rate it.
Averaging 25/26mpg with probably 70% of that heavy towing.
Worst bit about it is the gearbox. Whoever dreamt up the gear ratios should be burned at the stake!!

I'm in Cambridgeshire, there aren't any hills ! Not running 3.5t behind, normally 2t . We use them as training vehicles, approx 100-120miles a day mostly in town, so stop/start all day long. Clutch is certainly better than the Disco 3s we ran, they were knackered at 40k. I have only once pulled 3.5t behind and didnt have a problem with it, but can see that a hill start might be interesting, thats where the auto would be better.

08 will be a rodeo??
Totally different machine from a dmax.

But yes the trooper was possibly the greatest truck ever made.

When the injectors didn't make the engine blow up
My dad blew 2 up if you could get the same SWB truck nowadays but with a better engine i think it would sell well
