At last a very positive programme about the dairy industry and its products .
Excellent interview with a Welsh dairy farmer , Abbi ,who spoke very well about the whole job .
The programme also went on to dispel the myths of ' healthy ' non milk products .
Also lactose intolerance discussed and the fact that alot of perceived lactose intolerance cases are caused by other problems .
Well done who ever produced this programme and Channel 5 for showing it .
Well worth watching and forwarding to the masses .

Just turned in on 5+1. Particularly enjoying the bit on alternative "milks" and what is really in them.
Well done C5 (y)

Water which the cow drank to produce the milk!!
Yes, but it’s all splitting hairs in a way, again from memory, the human body is something like 85% water , I’m surprised the water content of milk isn’t higher, if combined fat and protein made up 8% of the milk, high for liquid milk, what is the other 5%?

But yes, I understand your point that cows milk is 100% cows milk with no added water, unlike the nut milks which are ground up nuts with added water to make it into a liquid.

On the BBC news a couple of nights ago there was a report on what a balls up the supermarkets were making of coping with a bit of increased demand. - but it was not put across like that, & the final comment from the reporter (Emma Simpson I think ) "So there we are, the supermarkets are feeding the nation ".
I just about fell off my chair
