It's ok , the scroats are allowed to rob £200 worth of stuff before it's an offence 👍

One of the good things coming out of this GE; I bet stop and search (knives) and low level crime (no shoplift threshold) gets looked at again at least by Police and Crime Commissioners (political appointees) if not Labour's Yvette Cooper

Likewise ,

Anyway we are all jumping the gun ,
the votes have not been rigged
yet I mean counted yet 🤣
My big fear is the default that the undecided plump for safe, hold their nose and vote Conservative again around here. They don't deserve it and I wish they'd decide Independent or Reform

I'll be at the count (for the first time) to watch anyway which will be interesting - even if they go for a recount and I have to prop my eyelids open

Hardly surprising when decent olive oil is now £16 a bottle.

The supermarkets in their desire to cut costs by introducing self scanning have literally invited people to rob them, I wonder how mnay of the people who walk round the shop self scanning each item and placing it in their shopping bags already in the trolley forget to press the trigger on the odd item or two.
Our local big supermarket introduced new barriers at the checkouts last year due to the amount of people walking through the checkouts thieving, meanwhile the self scanning continues.

Take the olive oil off the shelves altogether and use proper stuff in the pan.

I know a 19 year old girl who works night shifts at a fuel station with M&S shop. She says it is quite common for folk in transit vans to roll up and clear the shelves of expensive stuff like steaks and there’s nothing they can do about it, two staff on duty but both young girls. Everything is on cctv but other than turning up a week or so later to view the cctv footage, there’s nothing the police do about it.
The staff do have the ability to lock the doors to stop people entering the shop but this is frowned upon by management and if they don’t it too much they’re up on a disciplinary.
It’s good money for an un skilled, un qualified youngster but she doesn’t half have to put up with some sh1t and seems to get no support from management

Tough on crime tough on the causes of crime ...

Now where have I heard that before 🤔

But it's all ok Angela turned up to our town last week and said she will stop all the scroats on dirt bikes that ride all the roads and parklands at there free will and crush the bikes so at least something is being done about that problem 👍

Sounds more like something she'd be castigating the cops for doing and blame the problem on Tory created 'social deprivation'.
