Hi - my 444 has an AC Delco glass sediment bowl and i'm needing a replacement rubber gasket. Its approx 67mm OD and 49mm ID and 2mm thick.
I cant seem to find anyone that has a gasket this big - most other tractor sediment bowls are much smaller.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

My local engineering shop stocks small sheets of Nitrile rubber of various thicknesses, it's cheap as chips and handy for this sort of thing.

Is Nitrile rubber ok with diesel fuel - i thought nitrile didnt like the benzene present in diesel? I'd had a quick look online and Viton rubber had been suggested - tbh i'd rather find someone who stocks the gasket than try and cut two concentric circles - but this is very useful info and i will try the DIY approach if nothing turns up.

Sorry thats an exhaust gasket - i'm needing a flat rubber circular gasket to seal the glass sediment bowl to the diesel filter assembly on the tractor. Needs to be diesel proof. Thanks for looking for me though.

My first port of call would be to try and make one from an old inner tube, if it fails and leaks at least it hasn't cost anything

Thanks i've done just that and its not leaking at the moment - but i thought i would try and source the right thing for when it inevitably starts leaking at the wrong moment. I'm mystified why this one doesnt appear online - most of the UK built tractors share common components - but this is a huge glass bowl in comparison to others. Just starting to think that its not original - but theres no sign that its ever been touched.

Try Ian Dennison. If he does not have one he might know who would have one. 07774579609. Sourced many parts through him.

I've never had a problem, benzene percentage is only about 10% in NZ diesel. I find even the genuine fuel bowl rubbers tend to have swelled up between service intervals, they certainly don't seem to fit back in the hole properly.

It's easy to cut with scissors, just mark it out and do it.
