seed drill hose- fitting

Does anyone know where i can get hose expander to help fit new hoses to top of kuhn venta drill. I've tried hot water and blow torch but having no luck so guess i need to find an expander unless anyone has any bright ideas? thanks

Andy guest has one for accord drills works well just a piece of 25 mm round bar spilt up the middle two bolts through it pushing it apart works well

You could make one in 20 mins split the bar with a grinder about 150mm long hole right through the 2 pieces at one end put a nut and bolt through to hold them together .thrn 5o mm from the other end drill a hole through one of the pee as pieces tap a hole then bolt to split them apart

I find plumbers blow torch and then wind it on in the direction of the spiral works well.

Might try and make one tomorrow. 👍

Surprised no one has mentioned washing up liquid.
We smear a bit on followed by some heat from a hot air gun (that I bought to strip paint and has never been used to strip paint).

Don't know if the kuhn hose is different but normally you need to get the water boiling and keep it boiling ie. don't let the kettle switch off when up to temperature. Also get the kettle right up next to the fitting point and keep the end of the hose in till you can feel it supple when pushed against the side of the kettle.
