Seeking boar

Hi, I’m looking to buy or hire a boar. Just got 4 gilts to serve. 2 saddlebacks and 2 Pietrain cross oldspots.
Ideally looking for a proven Pietrain. Based in the north west of England. Will pay a good hire rate for a proven boar

Have a look on line for people selling pure Pietrain in your area, they will have a boar and may be up to not feeding him for a few weeks. Chat to another pig farmer - we tend to know who has what in our area.

As a commercial pig farmer, I find this conversation deeply worrying.
I would NEVER borrow a boar from another farmer for biosecurity reasons. Far better in your situation that you do AI. Deerpark from Northern Ireland have various breeds and offer an excellent service.
Can't like that opinion enough.
