Seeking detecting permission in Lancashire/NW England

Hi all,

I'm new to the hobby of metal detecting and I'm looking for some fields to detect in, in the Lancashire/NW area.

I'm a 33 year old guy who's an IT professional by trade, I don't have facebook but this is my linkedIn page.

I spent 18 years on a farm growing up so I understand farming etiquette to some degree.... don't leave gates open, be mindful of livestock, machinery, fencing etc. I have an interest in history, and have noted that there are roman roads heading from Ribchester up to Lancaster, which may yield interesting artifacts, so this region is of some interest to me, but would love to detect anywhere really!

Should anyone kindly let me detect on their land I will gladly remove any rubbish I come across...plastic bags, bottles etc, and will remove anything that may puncture tires or injure animals, such as nails. I will be more than willing to help locate anything that you may have lost over the years. Any hole that I dig will be small 'plugs' (cut 3 sides of a square and simply imagine a trapdoor, lift up, retrieve object, and put back).

I'll leave it at that for now, if you're interested, the machine I've got is this one: Makro Racer2 and obviously should anything of value be found then I imagine the usual 50/50 split.

Cheers for reading guys and gals, and I hope to hear from any NW farmers!

Regards
Jordan
