I trust you are spec’ing up the new one for the front links?

So you are seen as a forward thinking farmer...,

I’m trying to use an existing tractor when not on corn-cart duties. It doesn’t have front linkage ? looks like I will have to purchase a Fendt after all to put the link box on. As I fancy a 6’ high output model what size Fendt should I have and on what tyres?

936 should do it ....but spec the vario grip tyre pressure system so you can get optimum traction when the link box is fully loaded.

You have a tractor without front linkage? Oh, the shame of it.

Not much forward thinking unless you have to have it in reverse eveywhere taking the lamb couples out. Ah I see what you're doing, you are suggesting one of those new fangled reverse drive German things ............

Of course you could always get @the-mad-welder to stitch those various rust leaves together (he has done so many times) and then the local Earl could paint it up in any colour scheme not bound by copyright

You can save money by forgetting the transport box and using an old gate, a piece of blue rope (or big bale string) and an optional sheet of ply, depending on the load. This has the advantage of being able to move dead horses, etc, about on it as well from difficult-to-access places. ps don't use it behind a Discovery as this will make it go into "Limp Mode" faster than Bald Rick at a Pride march.

@An Gof You really do need to get front linkage, then you can save money and go mounted. Wood is best to for our maritime climate to avoid the costly rust in your earlier pic. Can confirm that Vario-grip and 390hp is enough in case you are worried. Front linkage is key as it free's up the rear linkage (of the cheaper mounted option) for alternative uses as you can see. I would advise against self-propelled transport box as too expensive and you could be in danger of costs exceeding £220/ha!

Sounds like you need a 900 series with reverse drive. That way you can get your link box with the front mounting kit on the front linkage, then turn the seat and drive in reverse so that the box is still on the back......er.....front ?

If you think the 25 year old is a bit steep don't google the 52 year old Macallan o_O
If @Banana Bar buys a trailed sprayer instead of a SP on the other thread he will have enough spare for a bottle.
I shared a bottle of malt with him several years ago, reckon he owes me a dram out of the 52 year old Macallan
