Self propelled sprayer tyres

Some advice please .
I have a Househam AR 3000 that came on Trelleborg flotations which looked great , big wide cleats with a diamond pattern in the centre and so lots of rubber on the ground but basically it is a trailer tyre and not a driven tyre . The only problem is that our ground is all on banks and is clay and when travelling across the slope the tyres give very little side grip and the sprayer just goes sideways with the back end dropping down the hill .
I want to fit a pure tractor style tyre like most of the new sprayers appear to be fitted with now but the rim size is 26.5 which limits the choice down to two tyres .
The Trelleborg T 414 looks really good with sharp cleats and is supposed to have excellent cleaning .
The Alliiance 334 has wider looking cleats so looks as though it will put a bit more rubber on the ground , which in our situation is possibly not a good idea .
Does anyone have either of these tyres fitted to their sprayer and how do you get on with them ?
Thanks in advance .

Michelin 520/60/28 are very good might be cheaper to change the rims as well and sell your existing wheels complete

Hi you want 600/60/28 Michelin xeobib on new wheels £1320 each plus vat

The MICHELIN Xeobib farm tyre limits soil compaction and optimises the crop yield
In the field, the MICHELIN XeoBib reduces soil compaction by distributing pressure over a larger surface, thus effectively reducing rut formation and soil compaction.
  • Tractor tyre pressures of 1 bar maximum
  • Reduces rutting and soil compaction
Work in the field or travel on the road at less than 1 bar (15 psi) with a tractor tyre that reduces soil compaction and increase productivity.

We run the above on our 3500l knight and it’s ideal for your job if you want to keep your rims def 414 pattern but check they are up to the weight and at what pressure. Forget the alliance we had that pattern on our old gem and lateral stability and grip was abit dubious flotation and grip was fine in a straight line and cornering but on a side slope was interesting.

Sorry for the highjack , but I have a set of wheels / tyres ,48 x 3100 - 20. Ten ply with a sort of shallow chevron pattern , I have never fitted then to my bateman RB 25, but they look like they won't grip at all, What price might a tractor type tread pattern be if available to fit that type of rim? The other set are 540/65/24 but don't offer much in the way of flotation. thanks.

When we bought our Bateman it came with a set of narrow 36" row crop tyres and some wide flotation tyres (sorry, don't remember the size) and when using them we had your problem with grip, steering, and general safety on our sloping fields. The row crops were also just about worn out as well.
After much thought and discussion with various tyre people we did as Will I suggested, and changed the rims and the tyres.
The compromise that we settled on was some Kleber Tracker tyres size 380/85R28.
Since buying and fitting these tyres they have not been taken off the machine, in fact we sold the flotations just last autumn, having not used then for approx. 6 years. This is on a RB16 with a 3000L tank.
We used North Devon Tyres based in Tiverton and the regional Michelin/Kleber man. Buying the tyres and rims together got us a very good deal.
Hope it helps.
